Overview
In May 2026, our team collected data in over 20 villages of Maharashtra, the second most populous state in India. We interviewed 2034 households from 4 districts of Maharashtra (Raigad, Pune, Yavatmal and Wardha), and a sub-sample of 800 women farmers from among these 2034 households, to understand their risk perceptions, behaviours around seeking and receiving climate information, and technology adoption. We explore heterogeneity by agro-ecological zones, gender, and other key demographics.
